  1. Great information, I personally use machines to build at times the foundation of a new clients strength. Another way I use machines is at the end of the work out to allow that extra rep to come out without sacrificing their form. The reason I do not use it as the core of my workouts is the bilateral movement most machines give which doesn’t help out the muscle imbalances you may have. At times the issue may not be the machine alone, but barbells that you will see people struggle with on one side. Fitness for me is definitely never one-sided like you state and all tools we have should be implemented.
